I have the Max Family Plan, but am having an issue with the Travel Insurance included. We have a couple of family trips booked and the cover provided is not adequate for a number of reasons, as it does not cover pre existing conditions, the cancellation cover amount is £10,000 short of one of our planned trips, and it also doesn’t include cruise cover. I contacted the insurer and was told it wasn’t an option to pay a supplement to make the cover what I needed it to be. Due to this I’ve had to purchase a seperate annual policy, which is fine, but having read up about it, all I’m seeing is that holding two policies is a total pita if a claim situation arose.
I’d be perfectly happy to cancel the included Monzo insurance, as its useless to me, but having read through the policy, it seems I can’t do that without cancelling my Max plan entirely, which would mean losing the other benefits - which I don’t want to do!
Any suggestions or feedback on this would be welcome.
