Hi,

Hi,
Iβve a closed account with Monzo, and just wondering how I would go about paying my remaining overdraft balance - would anyone have a sort code and account number to hand please?
Iβm happy to give you mine if you want to send me some money !
Joking aside, I would guess your debt would be against your old account number. However, I would contact Monzo themselves to clarify. Their isnβt a public central account, like a credit card payment, that you can send it to. You will need to get the details from Monzo.
Umm, how did you manage to close an account with an overdraft on it?
Do you have another?
Either way help@monzo.com is the answer
I switched away from them, but still had a personal loan (which is now written off, thanks to Monzo) and a overdraft that needed repaying back.
Noted, switch away from Monzo to get loan written off
Ah right. I was just curious (feel free to delete the answer if you are not comfortable sharing!) more from the standpoint that Iβve never know it possible to close an account with an outstanding overdraft on it before.
Good luck!
To be fair, I had personal circumstances. I would have loved them to have written off my overdraft too but thatβs life.
Youβd need to get in touch with monzo if they havenβt already - help@monzo.com
They will provide you with some recoveries bank details and put your overdraft into a repayment plan (which may impact your credit score) until it is repaid.
Iβm fairly sure this was correct many moons ago but FCA.
Why did you close your account without getting yourself back to zero?
I could maybe understand if you were trying to run away and avoid it but now you seem to want to pay it
Not the case at all, and I donβt necessarily to go into a certain amount of detail to tell you otherwise.
However, what I will say is that it is still possible to switch away even if you/me has a negative balance on their overdraft.
You can CASS while overdrawn.
I know you can, just seems like more hassle than itβs worth.
Certainly damaging from a credit file view.
Can accept that but nobodies credit file is perfect.
