Lloyds Banking Group Chat 🫏

I think it’s about £750 now per case :kissing:

But yeah it’s terrible, literally getting heated with me because I mentioned their colleague not doing a great job.

Don’t know:)
Got the card, registered for app and online banking… but unable to set up Apple Pay :astonished:

Support ordered a new replacement card… not sure this will sort this problem.

I had this too - you can add the card via the wallet settings and once you do the card is then on Apple Pay on the app too.

No idea why but that worked.

Not working for me…

Use with chip and pin first if you’re doing it contactless on the phone.

Ouch. Seems ridiculous.

It will probably be because they’ve already sent the details of your payees to your new bank, so if you set up any new ones the details wouldn’t get switched.

Kind of makes sense, but you’d need to be pretty quick off the mark to do a payment to your new bank to avoid this.

In the Lloyds complaint response via letter it did state they are aware some customers are having issues and looking into it “thank you for your feedback”.

I hate the feedback line, it’s not feedback, it’s a complaint.

They also said they did look at all the systems available to see what the problem is and they can’t see anything - likely because they only asked all the frontline colleagues I’ve already spoken to, not engineers.

Sod em.

This was also my experience with Lloyds when I was choosing between them and HSBC. Lloyds couldn’t have made it harder to get things setup and I gave up in the end. HSBC, despite their faults setup the account In a day and the CS is always spot on.

The Inconsistent Capitalisation of This Error Message Really Offends Me.

“for” is not “For”.

Is there a reason for that? No pun or nothing, just curious why “for” would not have capitalised F.

“for” doesn’t get capitalised.

It can lead to odd looking sentence structure but it’s all correct

I didn’t doubt it, just never knew why.

Every day a learning day, I’ve seen non capitalised mixed with capitalised through life just never really questioned it.

It really depends which style guide you follow. Some will say “because” should not be capitalised, some say it should.

Generally in life I actually just go by what I think looks better. Not that I title very often.

I’ve generally also always capitalised the first and last word in the title as principle words, regardless of what word it is.

It’s why I would have this post title with “Chat” capitalised as well

“this” may or may not be though.

Good reason never to use title case.

The first word would always be capitalised because it’s the start of a sentence. It’s unlikely that the last word would be an article, a preposition, or a conjunction, so that would normally be captialised as well.

Generally yes, but sometimes it is, where I would still capitalise it. I have to turn off my “icks” when I come onto forums because posts are often wildly different in their capitalisations.

I have a friend on Facebook and every post he makes, every word is capitalised and the “ick” becomes apparent.
