Issue with name on card



I have just received my Monzo card but it came with the wrong name. I need my maiden name as this is the one I use and that consistently appear on all my documents but Monzo has taken the second half of my married name (my husband being Mexican, his name is in 2 parts). How can I get that fixed?

This shouldn’t be too tricky to sort out!

The best thing to do would be to reach out to our support team via the Help tab in your app.

They should be able to help amend your account details and re issue your card :+1:

Thanks for your hep! I can access the Help tab without activating my card. I thought I would rather not activate it with the wrong name but do you advice that I activate it anyway and take it from there?

No problem! Yes, I would activate your card and then freeze it (you can do this from your Card tab) if you have any concerns, as this will ensure it is inactive whilst the support team arrange to get a new one out to you!
