This is the first time I’ve seen and used Discourse and I love it. That’s coming from a finicky web developer too!

Discourse is so good. I’m so happy when I find a website/project that uses it - never before have I felt happy about using a forum software.

Out of interest: what do you like about it in particular? And, if you had to pick something, what don’t you like about it?
The big plus about Discourse is it is nothing like Reddit 
Clean design, no nonsense like Signatures, easy discoverability of new topics, nice editor…it goes on.
Not sure what I don’t like. In terms of installing it on your own server to run your own community, it’s quite memory intensive which is not too great. But in terms of under experience I think I’d like an easier way of catching up with topics; the “unread” and clearing all unread could be improved - not sure how.

It’s weird because Starling runs the same community software but the Monzo theme is so much nicer to use!
