Hi Monzo and Monzo Community,
The Monzo community website is based on an open source platform called Discourse and I have a simple question that likely won’t have a simple answer.
If you work for Monzo, why did you opt for Discourse as your community platform over some other ‘competitors’?
If you don’t work for Monzo, what are you thoughts on the community platform?
e.g.
Ease of use
Look and feel
Capabilities
Intergrations
Would love to hear people’s thoughts on Discourse as a platform.

I’m not exactly a forum connoisseur, but I’ve been part of a number of different forum formats over the years.
Personally, I think Discourse is by far and away the best forum platform I’ve used - Both of Desktop and mobile.
It’s clean, easy to use, has enough features to keep it interactive, and doesn’t get clogged up by a lot of the guff you see on other forum platforms.
I’m not really sure there’s anything else I’d want to be honest.

It is a forum.
It does forum stuff. There are others that others will prefer. Others will say this one is best?
Why ya asking?

The company I work for are looking to build and launch a similar community site for users. And I’m pitching Discourse as an option and wanted to get some feedback on it from a user perspective.
