Thanks so much for the heads-up on the search bug! We’re really sorry about the trouble and appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
While we work on the fix, you can install version 6.42.0(6420051) —the one without Liquid Glass. We’ve confirmed that the search function works there as expected.
We’ll keep you posted once we have an update.

Speedy response, great.
Although search function working, it seems incredibly laggy with the keyboard. When I type #Japan I have typed all the letters but only J is shown. Spinning wheel to show it is trying, followed very slowly by each following letter?
