We need your help! [iOS TestFlight]

Hi everyone :waving_hand:!

I’m Lucy, an iOS engineer here at Monzo, and I’m really excited about getting our app ready for iOS 26.

A huge thank you to everyone already on our TestFlight program. Your feedback is incredibly valuable and helps us make the Monzo app better with every release. We couldn’t do it without you!

We’re gearing up to start testing some of the new changes that are coming with iOS 26 very soon, and we’d love your help. Your feedback will be essential in making sure everything is running smoothly before the official release.

We’d love for you to join our TestFlight group so you can be among the first people to get this when it’s ready - just follow this link to sign up.

Thanks in advance for your help! :hot_coral_heart:

Just to check, my phone gives me a warning that this will fully replace the Monzo app with a test version and that I may lose the app’s data? Is that going to cause any issues or side effects?

That’s what you’re testing
It should be safe but there is always a risk when testing pre-release software

Hey Loau,

Thanks for your interest in helping us test the Monzo app on TestFlight! :hot_coral_heart:

The warning you’re seeing is a standard message for all TestFlight apps. When you install the TestFlight version, it will replace your current Monzo app, but all your account data is stored securely on our servers. You won’t lose any of your financial information, transaction history, or account details.

Think of it like getting a new phone. The first time you open Monzo, you just need to log back in, and all your data will be there, exactly as you left it.

Happy testing!

If I’m already on TestFlight.. will get it automatically? Or do I need to still click the link?

You’ll stay on it. Not sure why but Monzo keep making new posts about TestFlight rather than just sticking to one e.g. TestFlight release discussion was the last one, maybe @AlanDoe needs to come along do some thread merging

Thanks for being a tester! You don’t need to do anything. The changes will be available soon and will automatically update through TestFlight.

I’ve Joined! :tada: what would be really cool to see would be liquid glass :eyes: also allowing people to pay each other without having to send your bank details, tap to pay on iPhone? :crossed_fingers:

Have you had a chance to try our “Nearby Friends” feature? You can learn more about it here.

We are also excited about Liquid Glass. Stay tuned for more updates on that front. :zipper_mouth_face:

I did think they looked rounder. Any ETA on when we can expect these iOS 26 changes?

I downloaded the testflight version of monzo yesterday and the only issue I have noticed so far is that it has changed my pay date from the 27th to the 25th. This makes a difference to the number which says how much I need to still have in my bills pot so may affect others who may not notice straight away.

Would avoid downloading the testpilot version if what you want is a stable version of the app, if you’re willing to accept a little instability then go for it

Don’t worry I knew what I was getting into just trying to provide a little feedback if it helps a stable release :+1:

This isn’t true as I’ve always had TestFlight and never had a problem.

If you tap your main account from the Home Screen and then the pie chart top right; just make sure it’s correct for summary, and the same through trends for the reset date.

Today is the day

We’ve just released a TestFlight version 6.43.0 (6430022) with updates for iOS 26.

Don’t worry if you’re not on the new iOS yet—we want to hear from everyone, including those on older versions.

To get started, make sure you’re a part of our TestFlight group. If you’re not already just follow this link to sign up. Download the update and let us know what you think!

We can’t wait to hear your feedback on how the app feels.

Very nice change. cool to see the new Liquid Glass in apps finally

I did find some visual issues in areas where the old style appears to clash with the new style.

also had a bug when I first opened where the icons in the tab bar all appeared to the bottom right of their buttons overlapping the text. they then jumped into place correctly But didn’t screenshot it before it went away
