Is an rc technically not a beta?
“Later this year”, Apple said.
Yes, it’s a Release Candidate rather than a beta. If there are no showstoppers then it will be the version that is released to the public.
Nero finally working again and this week’s free vitality coffee in hand on the way to work!
One thing I have just noticed (which I’m sure is new to iOS17) is the ability to set a different ringtone (and haptics) for each line if you’re running dual sim.
My work canteen who use the same third party still won’t let me log in.
“You have been logged out for security reasons”
Caffe Nero will let me log in though. Weird.
I’ve noticed an issue in the latest public beta. When I try to move an email from one folder to another in Mail, I’m no longer getting the suggested folder option - previously it knew if it was a booking confirmation from LNER to move it to the travel folder, if it was my bank to move it to Finance, etc. But I’m no longer getting this, and have to scroll to find the folder manually. Anyone else getting this (or not)?
I’ve had this on the last 2 developer betas
Looks like iOS 17 is out now (my phone is downloading it)
Same build as RC (for watchOS as well).
my HomePods aren’t showing as needing an update. Anyone else experiencing this, and is there a way to force them to update?
Thanks, all updated elsewhere. I will wait, though impatient for the “innit bruv” Siri voice reading through my updates
There’s a definite hotness to it for sure
Just updated to iOS 17, I’ve uploaded my contact sheet, however upon testing when I call someone (on iOS 17 as well), it doesn’t come up with my contact sheet, just my updated contact picture and a gray background? Is there anything in addition I need to turn on to enable my contact sheet to display when making a phone call rather than just in the contacts app?
Yeah I have it set to automatically update to contacts
Ok I’ll have another go tomorrow, as far as I could see I couldn’t see anything that prompted me to share it again
First ios I have not put RC or live onto my DD so far. I will probably cave soon but the dev devices had battery issues and that was worrying given the limited use so I figured I would see what happens in the first 24 hours or so.
“Live Voicemail is available only in English in the United States and Canada, excluding Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.”
That’s a shame. I wonder when it’s coming to the UK…
