My name is Tre Lemar and I, too, am new to the Monzo community. I joined Monzo on a recommendation of a friend and I still thank him today because I am so happy with the experience so far.
I am an Interior Designer and also hospitality management on the side (work in Hotel management for 12 years previous). I opted to spend more time recently doing something in life I loved opposed to spending the remaining active years of my life in a job I no longer loved because it paid the bills. My life isnāt as glamorous as it was whilst in hotel management but I am truly happy for the first time in my life.
Glad to be a part of a community of great people and lovers quality (Monzo) and look forward to chats and topics of the Monzo roadmap and future updates as the brand grows stronger and dominates the financial markets.

Hi, Laura! Once your cardās arrived and youāve activated it, your account number and sort code will be shown in the app.
Edit: but the sort code will be 04-00-04. Monzo only uses the one code at the moment.

Any plans to go full Monzo?
I am an operations manager and a big fan of tech. I love to see what start-ups have to offer in terms of disrupting the established brands hence why I signed up.
My Monzo debit card arrived two days after signing up for the current account at the start of the week. You let me set up my own pin there and then, no waiting around for the secret envelope to arrive with a random pin number. In two days I was transferring money and making purchases.
They made us believe banking was too complex to be effective and serve the needs of the customer. Instant notifications for money coming in and out and the debit card itselfā¦

Hello there fellow Monzoites! (Monzites? Monzers? Monzitos?)
I started trying out Monzo last month after a mate recommended it, and went full Monzo at the start of this month. It feels like the bank account Iāve been waiting for all my life
I love the immediacy, the transparency, the community spirit, the attitude, the budgeting, the pots, the communication, the team, the disruption⦠and so much more! Sure, there are things I would like to see improved and developed, but that is the beauty of Monzo - the team is constantly working on new stuff; they do not stand still.
As for me, Iām a content and strategy director at a design agency. I have always loved tech and new ways of doing things (I very rarely accept a brief without questioning it in some way), and was particularly delighted to see the full Monzo tone of voice guidelines available for public view

I did a semester in cyber security and ethical hacking at uni. It was probably one of my favourites!! Although Iām glad I didnāt have to GDPR!
