Insufficient Balance Notification

  1. Do you get notification of upcoming scheduled payments from joint account the day before if there is insufficient money in account?

Any idea what time of day the day before?

If itā€™s for direct debits; youā€™ll simply be notified on the day that a payment couldnā€™t be made, and to add funds by 2:30 so they can try again.

This particular one was standing order as test and didnā€™t get insufficient balance notification all day like other (older) posts suggest I shouldā€¦strange

A standing order wouldnā€™t trigger it, thatā€™s a money movement handled by you.

A direct debit is an automated payment issued by a merchant, which alerts monzo 2-3 days ahead of time (hence you see it the top of your feed) and monzo can let you know thereā€™s a payment coming out but thereā€™s not enough in the account to fund it.
