Monzo needs to make money to stay around. Currently monzo is loosing money. Banks make money by having money, then lending it out at interest. (fractional reserve banking)
The more money held by Monzo, the more they earn. They also get 0.75% from BofE
The current average account value as of the 2019 annual report is less than £289
I would like to see a graph to so how sprint is doing and where it was ect maybe try this with user and see how it goes to get feedback.
A dark mode would be nice
Paying in at a post office is a must pay points are nit very good I have found some do not know what to do.
I know you can get your card number with in the app but I would like to see being about to get the 3 digit number in the back if the card I know it’s nit too hard to memorise but would be nice.
Paying in cheque why images would be a added bones and be very helpful if we go full monzo then I think this is a must.
Support need to get better I have found in app chat to be quite fast some times they is a long wait for them over phone and number times I have been cut off.
I would also like to see the app made for iPad I know you can load it on the iPad but it douse not for the iPad screen and maybe bring in a web based log in this would get more customers so then every think is nit done only phone also maybe be able to have the monzo app in more then 1 device.
Ok I know it more the one thing hear but I think to switch full this are the things I would like to see but the one thing I would like to see is the graph come back.
The single thing that would make my life easier is multiple payees with the same bank account - all three of my children have accounts with the same building society. To transfer money to them I need to use the same sort code and account number, but with a different reference. My old bank allowed me to set up three payees, each with the child’s name, and each with the right reference. Monzo only allows one - setting up child two and three is ignored, in favour of saving THEIR reference against the first child, which now has three remembered references. It’s a pain to pay their pocket money as I need to look up which reference is which and it looks in the app like I’ve paid the same child three times.
My friend has left Monzo and went to Starling because of the Post Office nonsense. Why on earth do Monzo not connect its account to the Post Office. I would love a reply from Monzo.
Vote for it, read the discussion, and realise it’s been an ‘idea’ for a couple of years already so I wouldn’t imagine it’s very high up their priority list. I’d guess the fees involved are one reason.
Allow me to hold other currencies like revolut, yes exchanging at live prices is pretty good, but you will loose out if exchanged when the markets are closed and at the weekend.
I have all year to save for a holiday, so I would like to exchange currency when I like, when the rate works in my favour, then I can hold it until I need it.
It’s because they would have to reissue every card to be compatible with the post office’s system. I read it on a facebook comment, but I can’t find it now.
I was going to say the same but I found myself wanting to question the motives of the “friend” who opened a bank account without researching, to then close it shortly after. All because they can’t deposit cash at the post office?
Then I just found the whole post a bit rude as there was no pleasantries and it ended with a demand that someone from Monzo directly responds which just seems very entitled.
