If there was one thing Monzo could add/change what would it be and why?

You don’t have to be so dramatic all the time. Nobody has hounded you.

There are 2 things I would love to see:

  1. the option to stipulate which people or companies can charge a particular virtual card, which would provide a level of protection in the event of a data breach at any of the companies holding the details of that card.

  2. the option to set a limit on how much can be charged to a particular virtual card in a given time period, for instance - i.e. limit my Netflix virtual card to £10 a month - which would provide some protection in the event of a data breach at Netflix.

Oh, and another free-coffee-for-monzo-customers-at-Pret-day would be good.

More customisation of notifications: on/off for personal account, joint account, virtual card; on/off for card payments, non-card payments, failed payments.

The real deal, which I’d be very happy to pay for: custom categories in Joint account, please!!!

So that budgeting can be done for custom categories. That’s the biggest downfall of Monzo for me. Not being able to define what my budget is for, and having to use Monzo 's own categories, which don’t really match my need.

And with that - if i transfer money from a pot into my account and i add a note to it… Please please please can that note also appear in the account. I have to copy paste from pot to account all the time to remember what all the money movements are for.

It’s a real travesty that this isn’t here already. The Joint Account continues to be treated as a second-class citizen, despite the fact that there’s a giant bulk of people with a lot of shared financials (ahem all families). It’s really crippled without the ability to chop things up into your own categories. Remember how much people complained on here before they introduced custom categories to the personal account? And yet the same situatuon persists on the joint!
