I mean, you can’t lose but you still don’t “trust” them. So you can’t mean “trust them not to lose my money”. So I have no idea what “trust” means here.
This has come up before, they get all defensive and can’t really explain what’s not to trust despite their money being protected
Yeah, doesn’t really seem to line up with reality, it’s the whole point of the FSCS.
And neither do I. It’s just a feeling that myself and many others have about neobanks.
If I wasn’t sure about something that millions of people have no issues with, I’d dip my toe in, try it out and slowly build up from there.
You don’t know what you’re missing out on if you just outright refuse to even give it a go.
That kind of philosophy is what makes people try K-pop and NFTs
Down with this sort of thing
Hahaha as soon as I saw you typing I knew something like this was coming
I actually expected it to be toe related though!
Thankfully I gave them a go and really didn’t like having money in them because of the lack of trust.
Did you lose all of your money? What went wrong that made you change your mind and get out?
Do you trust this forum?
Seems strange to post here daily for a bank you don’t trust.
Actually on personal accounts I’m sticking with Monzo as I agree the app is superior - although lots of features I don’t want or use like salary sorter or lots or virtual cards or budgeting! I really like get paid early and instant notifications - but joint account overdrafts and linked savings account and credit card and the ability to pay in the odd cheque means that for that Nationwide is better for the wife and I - but I’ll keep an open mind and se how Monzo evolves!
I really don’t see the point answering all these questions yet again. It happens every single time I say I don’t trust monzo. I say that and then certain users hound me for it.
I’ve said all that needs to be said.
Thank god you didn’t live through the industrial revolution. Travelling faster than a horse and cart would’ve blown your mind.
Sorry! I was just carrying on the conversation
If this happens “every single time” and you don’t want to discuss it then why keep bringing it up? After all you are on a Monzo “fanboy” community so you’re bound to get questioned on it
I should be able to give my opinion without being hounded. I shouldn’t have to keep my opinions to myself. Other people should be able to cope with opinions they don’t like.
I don’t want to get into this again so this is the last I’ll say about it.
Please stop hounding me for giving my opinion
If you don’t want the advice that’s fine also. Just don’t complain next time otherwise I’ll be within my rights to say “I told you so”
What i have learned here is if your going to make a point folk are going to want to know how you reached that point
That’s a good point.
Yup. It’s a community forum made for discussion after all!
Let me also add. There is no negativity in that. Its not hounding its just discoursing amongst each other
Edit: Its all part of the community. If i made a thread saying “Monzo is rubbish” everyones going to want to know why i think that and how i got to that opinion
. Anyhow. Sorry for derailing the topic
