I do not see a marker telling me the state of my card transactions.

Tap the transaction, scroll to the very bottom. It’s in grey on a grey background.
Where it says BOOTS 0024MDORGATE etc, it would say pending in that string.
this payment was only made today, less than an hr ago. so do i take that to mean i have a issue with my app?
Why would you have an issue?
This is what it would look like;
the payment has just been made, there is no way is has settled in the last 60 mins .
so my issue is its not telling me in app its still pending, when it is!
I have made a transaction today which is settled. How do you know it has not settled?
I may be wrong but thought it took a minimum of 1 day before a transaction could settle.

Yeah this is inconsistent. I had a pending transaction, that was eventually reversed, that said PENDING in the string for a week or two, then didn’t display it, then there was a credit transaction (rather than a zeroing or removal of the original).
Along with treatment of pending transactions for interest and overdraft purposes, it seems like a bit of a mess, unfortunately.

There is a issue, which may affect more than just me. I say May…
Engineers are working on the problem.
Both my transactions from yesterday Monzo have confirmed are still pending.
Yeah there’s definitely an issue. Payments I made yesterday never displayed as pending either, they went straight to displaying as if they were settled.

Once this is available and has been downloaded, you will be able to see your pending payments again.

I’m really sorry about the trouble you’ve had with viewing pending payments
We’d spotted a bug a couple of weeks ago and our engineers were able to get a fix into version 3.74.0 of the Monzo app – however another bug has reared its head and we’ve been able to track that down today ♂
I don’t have an exact timeframe on when this’ll be fixed but our engineers will be working on this as soon as they can, it’s something we absolutely want to resolve
In the meantime, as a workaround, you’re able to check whether a payment is pending by generating a statement in the app
That’ll show the name of the merchant along with (pending) in small letters if the payment is pending.
Logging into the Monzo app on an iPhone would also get around this bug as it only affects Android devices.
Sorry I can’t be more specific on when this fix will make its way into an app update – but keep an eye out on the Play Store for updates, I’m hoping it won’t be too long before we’re able to get this fixed for good
