I also don’t understand why you’d want to hide transactions from your statement. Who are you providing them to who would mock or humiliate you based on this? They can’t be a reputable company or mature.

Loooool, the significant other? Loads of different people come to mind. Privacy is a thing, well the illusion of it I suppose.
You make it sound so obvious but I think you’ve just made it even more confusing.
I thought we were talking about statements. So you export these out of the app and give them to your partner? 
Or are you referring to the feed in your app and you have a joint account?.. if so, and you want “privacy” you can simply pay on your current account.

Do you keep your phone locked and not let other people use it? Or if others do have access then you could lock the app
There are options if you want to maintain privacy
But to have a partner look though your personal bank account is a bit worrying
I’m talking purely when you open the monzo app, you are hit with what you’ve paid for etc…. When you have adult stuff just repeated constantly, it would be nice to atleast have the option to nickname them or hide them. Everyone’s circumstance is different, so I don’t expect people to understand. I’m just stating the need. Some companies do this already, or atleast did. Like buying condoms used to come on statements as something discreet.
It’s not that they look, but should they ever stumble on it. It’s a conversation I’d rather not have.

They are indeed. I was asking so that I could understand and if I think you have a good point I’d vote for the feature too 
Unfortunately I can’t think of a use case for this personally, and I explained this when one other person said similar earlier in the discussion:
Make sure you vote for it at the top though if you still really need it 
I can see that you haven’t currently.
Or if you’re really desperate you can always upgrade to Plus and enjoy some of the other benefits because it doesn’t sound like it will be a thing that happens anytime soon (or if ever judging by the earlier comment from someone at Monzo).

Thanks and you are right… only 3 votes. Doesn’t seem important at all. Considering the amount of people that have commented. Maybe they didn’t know about the vote either as I foolishly hope.

33 comments from 16 different people, a couple are staff and the rest seem to be people questioning why it needs to be a thing.
This is in a topic that is coming up to being 6 years old too.
Monzo have always said that they don’t take votes as a definitive sign to build something though, so you still can hold some hope!
That’s because they were worried their significant other would see them commenting or voting

Just open a Chase account. Pay for whatever services you desire, claim your cashback, hide the app somewhere in a distant folder and turn all notifications off.
