Help Dav play video games

Im not a streamer or anything but sometimes i really want to be.
Anyway - in light of the witcher hitting netflix i’ve downloaded the Witcher 3 on steam, and im really struggling. Does this get easier?! I’m so overwhelmed :joy:
First town you arrive in says to check the notice board for quests and the recommended levels are 56?!
Is this kind of like how in fallout you start out as a really low level and you need to level up to get better, or is this like dark souls and i just need to get gud

From memory in the first town you speak to the blacksmith and a few others and they give you small tasks (bandits north of town, someone stole something so you have to track them, etc), but I agree the difficulty is a little much. I’ve started playing it twice so far and stopped, although I think it’s more that I can’t get back into it after a few days away, unlike with Fortnite etc. that I can jump straight back into.

you speak the big true. I’ve started so many games and eventually always set them aside for something thats a little bit less taxing…
when i want to relax, i dont always feel like i have the effort to concentrate on a story like the witcher when theres something like the master chief collection, or rocket league that are 5-10 minute interactions!
Thank you for your insight though  I’ll try to find the blacksmith!

He’s actually on the left as you look at the noticeboard, IIRC. Good luck!

With the Witcher 3 it’s easy to become distracted by all the side content. You should focus on the main story (which is really long) and do side quests as they come and interest you. Definitely don’t try and collect and complete everything, you’ll be in one place for ages and it’ll feel like a chore. I stuck to the main story, did side quests that appeared and interested me and when I grew tired of the main story went off in search of an interesting side quest before returning to the main one. But yeah, it’s not a particularly casual game , but can be very rewarding as it’s incredibly detailed and vast.

Thank you for this! this is probably exactly what i would’ve done if im honest… :joy:
With spider man on PS4 and all the assassins creed games all i do is stay in one area until i’ve finished everything, and then i move on :grimacing:
Glad i didnt attempt this with the witcher!

I’ve just finished my first ever Witcher 3 play through. Thought I could get it done over the Xmas break - thought 15 hours or so would prob do it…

Where did those 80 hours go?

Btw, if you have ps4, god of war is an incredible story and i’d highly recommend it to all :raised_hands:

I really enjoyed God of War, another game that was much longer then I thought it would be!

That’s so true. Everytime you think its about to end and it just goes on and on! I honestly thought it was over when i reached that first mountain peak :sob:

I bought God of War for myself for Christmas. It’s still in the cellophane wrapper, not sure what happened! Will definitely tackle it soon, though.
