I’m going full Monzo with our joint account, and transferring some money manually from our old Halifax account.
Got this message when I typed Monzo’s sort code into Halifax:
Now they want me to phone their anti-fraud team before they will sent the payment.
Has anyone else had this kind of problem?
I’ve had that message pop up with lots of banks when using Halifax, it’s just their way of checking you haven’t be a victim of some fraud.
On occasion I have also had to call to confirm. It’s just a way to keep your money safe
It’s to stop people getting conned out of life savings by transferring to a bank account by someone claiming to be their bank. Increasingly common to stop people running to the press about being conned and their bank not reimbursing them
