Has it increased recently? I’m still paying £12.99. Worth it for me because the adverts boil my p*ss.
I doubt it I just guessed a number, I’ve always had the family sub.
Is it being returned unopened?
For sure.
It is being set up!
The only thing that can make me return it is if Tim Apple has something surprising that hasn’t leaked yet.
Don’t see that happening personally but what would I know.
I don’t either, really.
I’m somewhat torn about whether I should’ve traded in my iPhone instead of the P4a. The unlimited photos backup is a good perk to have.
If you can be bothered taking advantage of the unlimited photos via the 4a it’s good to have, I’d have probably traded in the iPhone though, I am nowhere near using all my 2TB on Google ONe, obviously if you only have the 15GB base storage it can fill up pretty quick.
They may well work, but mixing Apple with non-Apple products… even the thought of it makes me shudder…
I can’t imagine myself ever leaving the Apple ecosystem but I have a lot of respect for those who try to.
Here’s a question, does the pixel show battery wear percentage?
I have not seen it on some other androids I have had a play with.
I’ve been uploading photos from my iPhone to OneDrive, then downloading them on the 4a to take advantage of the unlimited backup. Perhaps it was a mistake to trade the 4a in and not the iPhone, now that I think about it…
Nothing like that
They’re just tech products though. They’re not sentient, they don’t know that they’re being separated from their families. Some Apple products can’t be used outside of the ecosystem, but I think they’d sell handsomely if they could be.
I wonder why not given battery wear is a thing on any battery. Kinda disappointing.
Why hide it from the end user so they know when the device battery is going EOL especially when they plan to update for 7 years.
You make a good point but still… it’s not something I would consider.
I hope the change works out for you.
I think of things like AirDrop and have no idea what would replace it. It’s tough!
Airdrop
You done messed up
I just like my tech to work, I don’t want to think about it too much or have to find alternatives or workarounds for the things I do. I work in IT and I have enough of that sort of stress at work, without bringing it home with me.
Only one Android phone has ever made me re-consider and that was a OnePlus. I can’t remember which model it was, but it had a cool popup camera and an in-screen fingerprint reader. It was a work of art.
That was quite some time ago though. I’d imagine Android has improved.
I do think this is something they should do. I’d happily pay for a slightly more expensive (say £89.99 ish) Google One subscription to have YouTube Premium included.
The current “hack” I use to pay for it is working in a university I can access student pricing, and then I have a load of Google Rewards credit built up so I use that to pay for my YT premium subscription. So far this year I haven’t paid for it at all. With the Student sub it comes to 7.99 a month for both music and YT premium. The music part imo is crap and I much prefer Tidal. But I use it now to listen to podcasts. Which again is a crappy experience compared to the google Podcasts App.
The main area I think Google suffers is with a good iTunes competitor. I was heavily invested in Google Music and still think that was a significantly better product that YouTube music.
