Google Pixel 6

Yeah the “Redmi Note 10 Pro” only does dynamic back to 60hz and thats when there’s no interaction ie reading the screen and then as soon as you touch its back to 120hz

Its a tough comparison too as the SoC makes a massive difference so the Pixel 6 Pro 120hz should in theory be far better on paper. So its a bit apples and oranges trying to compare 120hz experience.

Pixel 6 90hz to Pixel 6 Pro 120hz I’m purely guessing that it’ll be impossible to spot the extra 30hz in most cases.

Again I’m not a big mobile phone gamer but I’m guessing that might show it up more in the likes of Genshin Impact etc or driving ones like Asphalt 9 or Real Racing where theres a lot going on at fast pace.

If you don’t need telephoto or that 0.3 inch difference then I’d say £250 is not worth it.

The higher res would also be nice but I’ve lived with a relatively low res iPhone 11 for long enougth that I think 1080 should be fine.

Had to laugh at this email I’ve had from Curry’s, following my preorder of the Pixel 6.

Not an offer that’s of any use to me

So I went to order a white Pro and it’s “sold out”.

What is up with Google? They can photograph every street in the world but they can’t take an order for stock they will have at some point in the future.

Such a joke.

I also don’t get why Google are limiting only some colours to 256GB and no 512GB option in the UK. They do make some odd decisions sometimes.

You can try them if you like, it does say for new or returning customers, so you’d have to match that criteria

This is bonkers

So I managed to sneak in an order for the White Pro. Only problem is I was in such a rush and didn’t use Klarna. Wouldn’t you know it’s now sold out again :man_shrugging:

Got myself a yellow 6 Pro :raised_hands: Can’t wait for it to arrive!

Same here :+1:

Just retried and I got rejected by Klarna.

Would love to understand how their credit scoring works as I wasn’t expecting to be declined for £35 a month.

At least it (apparently) doesn’t affect my credit score.

Did you do more than the 3 payments? I’ve never been declined for those (but I never have more than 2 running at one time) but never done more than 3 payments.

Its my first time using Klarna. I’ve now registered and connected to my bank account. Not sure if that’ll make a difference.

Ah I’m not sure on that part.

I know if you choose anything other than the 3x payments it’s into credit area and does a hard search (I believe) for credit worthiness.

If you stick to 3x payments I believe it’s a soft check and much greater acceptance. (To the point I don’t know anyone who is declined for that).

Just realised that my Pro isn’t coming for a month!

I’ve now also ordered a Coral 6 which will arrive for launch day.

Will probably take the saving and cancel the Pro.

Call screening has just come out in the UK - they speak to Google before you speak to them so never say never but I would agree you should never buy a phone or anything expecting future software functionality.

It’s not come through on my pixel 5 yet (on Vodafone if that makes a difference)

Checked settings and nothing, I’ve been waiting for this since the pixel 3.
