Get Paid early Help

Maybe Monzo should publish a calendar. On the other hand, as long as there are people willing to chip in with answers for free, and as long as chat is hard to find for some, why would they?

You don’t need chat to find the answer to this though. Why are people finding it easier to make an account on a niche forum than just see the answer in the app, or the marketing page for it? I find it very strange.

This is the exact reason chat is now hard to find, because of time wasted dealing with thousands of these questions.

People want the answer spoon fed, when all the info is in the app and on the website. If you google it, it will tell you. But that takes more effort and self-thought. So they join and wait for someone to tell them.

You are not wrong

You don’t even need to click on the link!

That Google-returned description needs the word ‘working’ in-between ‘the’ and ‘day’ to be accurate. May even need to mention BACS too.

Hi my payday falls on a sunday this month so i know i will be paid friday but will monzo get it tomorrow and pay me ? Normally is a day early but this is the first time my payday has fallen on a Sunday.

Monzo will pay you on Thursday at 4PM.

Monzo don’t know what day/date you’re going to be paid, if your employer will move the Sunday payment to Monday or Friday. They see the payment coming, so allow you to be paid early after that.

Thank you for answering my question .

Same as me mate, my universal credit falls this Sunday so uc pays me this Friday but with monzo I will get it at 4pm tomorrow

I can confirm that the pay early grey out features came very early this morning. I woke up at 2:30am and it was already there so possibly it came even earlier

Hi there!

I’ve used the get paid early feature previously but today I received the notification and noticed that the payment in question says “3 days from now” in the app. So I’m wondering if I should do it if the transfer isn’t actually going to come in until Monday?

Hi @tuffgnarl & welcome

It should be available now (from 4pm today)

It’ll be a BACS payment, hence the greyed out feed entry of ‘advanced notification’, which means if you tap on the greyed out transaction, you’ll be able to claim from 4pm on the working day previous to the date which the greyed-out transaction shows. So if 3 days from now is shown (Monday) and 2 of those 3 days are weekend days, then you’ll be able to claim it, like, now!

Go ahead - there’s no drawback - you literally get your money early.

It’s a bug, it happened last week. It’s showing too early.

I’m guessing your payday is Tuesday? Last day of the month? So you’ll be able to get payment on Monday at 4PM.

David is correct - I’ve just done it for one of my payments about 10 minutes ago

I think I misunderstood! :zipper_mouth_face:

I think you did.

It’s Friday and it is very much Too Hot.

Ok, thanks for the clarification guys!

Hi guys my pay has shown up three days early so I am due to be paid on the Tuesday but it has shown up on Saturday but is saying come back Monday to get this pay early just wondering if this has happened to any one else as this has never happened before

Monzo is showing you it early because there’s a weekend in the middle, they’ve started showing things an extra day too which is why you can see it now.

Nothing has changed, you’ll still be able to claim it at 4pm on Monday.

Hi guys, so I’ve been paid early before in my previous job, I’m currently expecting my first pay off of the new employer tomorrow ( 26/02/21 ) it’s now past 6pm and I have no grey transaction like before. There are only three things I can think of as to why.
1 - I gave my employee the wrong details ( I don’t think I did )
2 - Do you still get to use the Pay Early option when it’s a new employer or does it take a while to register its wages
3 - When I asked if I was definitely getting paid this payday or next they were adamant it was this one, I’ve received my Wage slip already sooo :woman_shrugging:

But option 2 is what I kinda want to know. I don’t need my money right now but I use the pay early so I know for sure I’m getting paid because I’m a stresser. A friend who works for the company is going to let me know when her ages are in and I’ll have to go from there ( midnight ) and see what happens tomorrow. I just can’t go another month before I get any wages ( it’s been 5 weeks since the last pay from my old job because I went from weekly to monthly pay  ) any help would be gratefully appreciated - also it’s definitely BACS
