I think the first was better by memory. Both as messed up as each other  but as above, both enjoyable.

Any thoughts on the rumoured upcoming PS5 Pro launch? Anyone excited and/or planning to buy one?

I don’t even use my PS5 I have now to the extent it can be used, so hard pass on that.

Really dont see why it is even needed. So many games are barely using the PS5 potential as is. I think this gen needs to use what it already has better before any updates consoles are released

Fair enough.

I’ll be holding off until I read some in-depth reviews. My PS5 Slim has coil whine (many of them do). It’s an annoying buzzing sound.

If the Pro resolves this, I might consider just for the sake of my sanity. Once I’ve heard a noise, I can’t unhear it and it’s ruining the gaming experience for me now.

As for performance, I also feel the PS5 has enough. I can’t quite believe it’s already mid-cycle. Time flies.

Been thinking about a PS5 for a while so might just wait for the Pro

Just played “Thank goodness you’re here” on PSN.

Yorkshire based game. Very strange but simple.

PS5 Pro announced at £700, vertical stand not included :hushed:

It seems to just let you play using fidelity mode graphics with performance mode frame rates.

Insane price, but I guess it makes the PSVR2 look better given its half the price of the console.

It has double the storage at 2TB, 67% more compute, 28% faster memory, and they’ve added some additional upscaling hardware.

The end result is 45% improved graphics performance and 200% improved Ray Tracing performance. Also has WiFi 7.

It’s pricey for sure but it’s still quite a significant improvement across the board. It’s more than just a storage bump…

Xbox have ruled out a mid-cycle refresh beyond adding some extra storage, so the PS5 Pro was always going to be expensive.

Sony will now be able to claim to have the fastest console until around 2028.

I will be waiting for reviews before considering.

The improvement don’t interest me in the slightest and the price is crazy. Easy pass.

the price is in decent PC territory now

The RRP of the PS5 Digital Slim is £479. The RRP of the PS5 Pro is £699. Actual retail prices will vary.

It’s pricey but I wouldn’t say it’s hugely overpriced. Obviously opinions will differ on that.

I am leaning more towards a PC + Newer steam deck model instead of a console next gen. I rent my games via disk, which is ending soon and with Sony bringing games to PC after x amount of years anyway I might as well. Gamepass is also cheaper on PC.

£800+ with a disk is too much for me. Got 2 years gamepass and will keep my series X until next gen only which still hasn’t happened so far.

You can also do a lot more with a desktop computer

oh my bad, it’s just this cropped because i like the gradient

I’ll probably pick it up when the price inevitably goes down as it’s not had the greatest of releases despite all the hype

I used to really like TDU on the 360
