DBH was the same dev - Quantum Dream. It is on PC too, incase you don’t have a PS4/5

My PS5 is kinda wasted on me and I feel bad. I bought it because I could, but don’t really play it outside the Playstation exclusives

And that game is hard! :joy:

I must admit i probably dont use my ps5 as much as i should , i got it as a treat during the pandemic and play it at the weekend for a few hrs i have the plus and now subscriptions and since then have really found no need to buy a full priced game , so it will be interesting to see what tier i end up in the new thing and what that brings

I wish just one time, I’d be able to switch on my PS5 and just play :joy:

Every. Single. Time.

Carlo1460 if anyone wants to add btw. I’m terrible at shooting games and all else.

Press start without updating?
In all seriousness, downloading and installing are quick but “copying the update file isn’t… what is it doing?!

It’s all down to the mad way the PlayStation stores data on the disk. It’s all heavily super-optimised to be as fast as possible - and sometimes it has to spend some time moving other games around on the disk to be able to patch the update into the game that’s being updated.

I’m not explaining it very well. It’s almost as if I barely understand it.

Extremely simply put, your disk might be arranged like this:

[----GAME1----] [----GAME2----][---------FREE SPACE--------]

And when it wats to update GAME1 it will do this:

[----GAME1----][---FREE SPACE---][----GAME2----][----FREE SPACE----]

And then:

[----GAME1----][-GAME1 PATCH-][----GAME2----][----FREE SPACE----]

Erm that may be the case on a ps4 (although defragging seems unlikely) but a ps5 is an ssd so their is no need to rearrange data like that.

I did think that - but I figured the PS5 must be doing something similar during the ‘Copying’ phase.

I think it’s more how they are applying the differential patches to textures etc. it’s always been bad on PlayStation and Sony really doesn’t have much inclination to improve it it appears.

LOL. I actually own this keytar, although I highly doubt it still works.

I had one too. It had a pitch shifter knob at the end of the neck. I thought I sounded amazing playing the EastEnders theme tune on it.

Never heard of it

If so, I’m guilty.

Got Far Cry 6 on the D/L now.
I loved Cyberpunk, Rage, COD, Metro Exodus, Halo Infinite, Deathloop ( which did get very boring after a while )
So hope I’ll like FC6.

My 3060ti fe GPU only has 8GB VRAM so cannot run the HD texture pack. Hopefully it’ll play at 1440p nicely though

Runs good in 1440p with all ultra settings. Huge open world, amazing graphics, decent story line, really good sense of humour and an FPS. My type of game :yum: :yum:

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Absolutely fantastic. Very engaging, huge play area, great sense of humour and it’s just a fun game. Bought it for the PC - nearly fainted when I saw the console price.
