A new discless Xbox Series X and controller and somehow not been redacted in some court documents.
I think it means reduced power as in reduced energy usage - itās more efficient.
Putting the console to one side for a moment - āDirect to cloudā (new controller - with modular thumbsticks, hurrah!) has my interest. Stadia2?
We know that PC games are going to be streamed, not just Xbox games, so this is the controller hardware to tie it all together.
I have read that fully closing the game rather than relying on quick resume can help with that. Iāve personally not had any issues, but even if I did, Iād still go with the Series S again. Such a good price for what it is and the drawbacks compared with the Series X donāt bother me.
The thing that still surprises me is that size of the Series S, especially once I got the PS5. It looks tiny which is pretty amazing considering what it can do.
Saying this, Microsoft must be pretty annoyed all of this has leaked. You have the updated Series X, the controller, a Bethesda Studios roadmap, emails about quite important discussions, next-gen target date and brief information about it having cloud integrated more, designs about other console ideas (portable and cloud streaming), plus some more Iāve probably missed.
They are court documents but they were probably meant to be redacted, but for whatever reason, didnāt happen properly.
Thatās part of the fun. An extra little mini-game. Can you successfully find a surface to balance the Series X on?
Assuming it is still a fairly tall design, you would think it would come with a stand for horizontal play. If PS can find a stand to work with their design, Iām sure Xbox can.
To be fair, most of it isnāt that shocking. The gaming industry is becoming increasingly discless, so a discless Series X isnāt surprising. Neither is a new controller. Neither are the leaked Bethesda games. To be fair, neither is the discussion of them wanting Nintendo. Xbox is clearly happy to buy other gaming companies, even big ones.
I canāt imagine things have changed that much, but there will definitely be some things that appear different to how they are now planned. Obviously, this situation isnāt ideal, but I donāt think what was leaked was that bad. None of it was too surprising and Iām fairly sure we already knew Xbox has been keeping an eye on Nintendo, which was probably the part Iāve seen that annoyed the most people.
But it will probably be one of those things that blows over fairly quickly. The general public wonāt know or care, and gamers will move onto the next big outrage.
Honestly, I didnāt even know who he was until just now and was just confused reading the above as to why the presenter of Location Location Location was trying to acquire Nintendo.
But just looking it up he seems to be the CEO of Microsoft Games? Can it really be a big surprise that a CEO of a major corporation is a capitalist who wants to dominate the market? Iām sure Microsoft didnāt put him there because heās a lovely guy who likes playing video games
Doesnāt surprise me in the slightest personally, and neither does them wanting to acquire even more companies, even Nintendo, but I can see why others may not be happy.
MS attempting to acquire Nintendo is very old news.
Itās hard to see it happening in the current regulatory environment, but it still wouldnāt be a monopoly by a long shot.
Cyberpunk 2.0 and Phantom Liberty this week
I am excited to play through Cyberpunk again with the 2.0 update. Looks like a neat improvement and Iāve been thinking about a second playthrough for a while
Very tempted to sell my Series X and get a Steam Deck in the sale.
Itās a great console, but just gets no use as Iām never able to use the TV for a long session.
This is great news. Just started cyberpunk and about 3-4 hours in. So hopefully this adds to the experience!
Lies of P.
Anyone got past that initial mf at the station?
I honestly feel like the older I get the worse I get at games
Even though Iāve had beta access for quite a while, there is still a lot to reveal!
Not tried it yet but its on my Game Pass list since its free.
