Hello I’m new to this site and Monzo. I’m literally still getting the hang of Monzo and have just had my main pay switched to Monzo so everything’s very new.
My question is this. I put a gambling block on my Monzo card. One of my last acts with William hill I won 340. I took the 300 to my Monzo and put 40 in my Lloyd’s. Just a small amount for emergency’s.
The 40 to Lloyd’s is already in. The 300 to Monzo is not. William hill show all withdrawals complete and indeed as the 40 hit Lloyd’s there’s no issue there end.
To sum up will payments IN from a gambling site still pay in despite the block. Could the delay be because it’s a weekend. Lloyds obviously have no such delay but Monzo might I suppose.
Thanks in advance for help. All is appreciated while I get to grips with Monzo and kick the gambling habit.

I don’t know the answer to this, but anecdotally payments from gambling sites can take a little longer crediting to Monzo - it was someone noticed some years ago.
It always used to be said that credits via Mastercard took a little longer than Visa also.
Thanks for approving. It’s all sorted. Came through later on the Saturday. As the poster above says just slow with Monzo compared to some. Not that it matters cos I’m try really hard to kick the habit.
Thanks again.
I know you say thread closed, but just to add to this:
Tombola recommend withdrawing to a Visa card, stating that it’s “near instant”, whereas Mastercard could take a few days.
So I don’t think this is a “Monzo” specific thing, more of a Visa vs Mastercard one.
It’s good to know that the gambling block only prevents payments, and not refunds/withdrawals.
I’m not sure why but Revolut Mastercard credits are instant, while Monzo takes a few hours. I have both my Monzo & Revolut card on my Sky Bet account, doing two withdrawals at the same time i’ve been able to reproduce the above every time
