European Super League

Well Rashford and Shaw have come out publicly against for my club. Also rumours that Maguire confronted Woodward yesterday after the players found out the news on social media as opposed from the club. So hope enough pressure will make us reverse.

Credit to Chelsea for backing down. Hope the rest do.

They’re dropping like flies now. Come on Glazers, do the right thing for once.

The wheels are coming off big time

The president of Juventus is reported to have resigned, too. Though, I think Woodward might have planned to go anyway.

He says he did. But an easy thing to say to save face.
Worse to commit the club to this then run away if it was going ahead* though so I’m sceptical

*not looking likely

That went well

Make a statement in the blandest room, wearing the blandest clothes and the blandest tone of voice.

Good to see he’s full of passion :joy:

I thought it was a corpse speaking at 1st

I’m not gonna give him a round of applause but what more could he have done?

Held his hands up, took all the blame and apologised.

What we thinking the response to them attempting to step away will be? Point deduction/ban from Champion’s League for a year?

There’s a lot of noise about there needing to be some form of “punishment” for their actions. I think the outcry from fans and the sour taste most of them have now for the owners is pretty strong.

I see a lot of comments about how it’s not fair on the fans, which is true, but it’s also not fair on all the various other clubs that have been docked points etc over the years.

I don’t think UEFA will ban them from the CL, as without them it would be much less of a competition for them and their greed/sponsors means they need it to be the best it can be.

Domestically, I think they should probably get docked points and for it to be fair, it needs to happen next season. Otherwise, if you take 15 points off them this year, well that’s the CL hope gone for Chelsea and Liverpool, Spurs just slip further down. City still win the league. Utd still get CL football next year. But… Arsenal would then be 17th and at risk of relegation! PLEASE!!!

It happened to Boro back in the day!

I’m not sure where I stand. Ultimately they’ve backed down and not done anything wrong. Feels a bit Minority Report to lock them up over their plans.

There is some obscure law they’ve broken, but I’m not sure they’ll actually have the bottle to hit them with big sanctions.

I believe legally no league can do anything right now thanks to an injunction in Spain against UEFA and FIFA the Super League clubs won on Tuesday. The only ‘good news’ they had.
