No joy, unfortunately. Once again, it thinks a bit and tells me it’s generating a statement, and then just takes me back to the statement history screen. But thank you for the most constructive interaction I’ve had on this today!

Not in connection with this. I mentioned it only to place into context that the Monzo CS experience was worse.
What device & OS are you using?
It’s a no-longer-young Oppo with Android 10. I suspect the problem lies with that. The security patch is from 2020. That said, I have downloaded statements from Monzo more recently than that, and successfully did so with all my other providers this evening. My takeaways this evening are 1. that Monzo probably doesn’t design its software with a sustainable approach to hardware in mind, and 2. I am never putting myself through their customer service gauntlet again
The Oppo device is an unknown (Google Play links), but the Monzo app supports Android 7+ at this point.
Can you try a different Android device (not Oppo, with Android 7 or above)?
Taking a reasonable approach to this, if you are questioning your single device without trying alternatives you may be outside of the parameters in your (1.) example. And that would ultimately lead to the experience of your (2.) example - did you tell Monzo CS about the device/OS you were using?
Well, I downloaded the app on a pretty new iPad and it’s not working there, either. At least on the iPad I get a notification that “there was a problem”…
Its actually a terrible app. Not having options to change on the fly is just poor programming. There is no easy way to get a statement and even searching the entire phone will not show the statement anywhere let alone choose where to save or share it… Needs some work!!
