Done ✅ Make it possible to dismiss the “getting started” screens from the Monzo Plus tab

Ah, it looks like it’s our respective text sizes! Monzo seems to support dynamic text.

I just made my text larger in settings > screen + brightness > text size, and then went back, and it was cutting off for me too.

For reference, I use the third smallest size/one point left of middle.

Edit: still odd that mine goes onto two lines though… feel like there’s enough space such that larger text could still do that.

Oh wow, that’s interesting.

Wonder when the year old phones will be natively supported…

I use the 2nd smallest text size on mine, but changing it doesn’t have any effect on how much text is cut off for me :man_shrugging:.

I’m not sure if I understand fully about the scaling issue @N26throwaway If it’s designed for a 5.8 inch display but scales up to 6.1, I wouldn’t have thought less of the text would be visible? Wouldn’t you see the same but larger?

I don’t understand why Alex has 2 lines of text but mine is cut off at the end of the first line.

Is it me or has the help screen also changed? I feel like there was an image of the Monzo card “person” - was it called Chip? I’ve been hoping they got rid of that character as it felt a bit childish and took up valuable screen space.

I’m happy to see that this has (possibly) been fixed. One thing I do like about Monzo is that they do tend to listen to their users.

This was a change we made in the background so it should apply to everyone and make those cards/panels vanish 30 days after Monzo Plus/Premium signup :hot_coral_heart:

This really is amazing!

I’m sorry for always asking for more… but any reason you haven’t applied this to the ‘order your card’ prompt on the plus page?

I’m quite happy with Coral, only had a new one issued a few months ago, and genuinely only ever use Apple Pay so really no need to waste the plastic on a blue one.
