Not exactly.
You’re probably referring to Section 75 protection which is the one for credit cards.
Any fraudulent charges though, for which you’re not at fault, you’ll be protected for. Plus you’re in some way protected from dodgy sellers with the chargeback mechanism.

Not at all. The Monzo debit card is just like any other bank’s debit card and affords the same level of protection.
Credit cards offer additional protection under S75 of the Consumer Credit Act which makes the creditor jointly and wholly liable if something goes wrong
