Display running balance with each entry

If a running balance makes the app crowded, you can give users the option to switch off.

Unfortunately it’s not that simple, here’s my concerns about settings (bearing in mind that I don’t work for Monzo) -

I think settings are a bad thing - they create complexity, hide functionality & make support more difficult.

& to add to that - imagine if Monzo created a setting to switch every feature that some users didn’t like (so every feature) on & off - you’d end up with hundreds of settings

But fortunately you will soon have a way to get to this information -

Well, you have a running balance + spent today on top of the screen so that should give you the same info. But yeah, I appreciate you might need something that we’re not providing right now, I hope by the time we add the balance before and after the transaction (on the transaction detail screen) that becomes less of a problem for you
