Direct debits not processing

I’ve just opened a joint account with my housemate but when trying to set up direct debits online for various places, the sort code and account number aren’t being recognised. Examples are; Thames Water and Talk Talk. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Some places haven’t updated their systems to accept the monzo sort code. You may have better luck calling these companies as sometimes they can put them through manually.

Make sure you’re entering 04-00-04 as often people get it mixed up with 04-00-40 :slightly_smiling_face:


We have a direct debit on our joint account setup with Thames Water. As mentioned double check the account details and if you’re still having issues perhaps give the company a quick call :slight_smile:
