Community/Discourse confirmation emails not being sent to @yahoo.co.uk

Issue: When signing up to the Community, I tried a couple of @yahoo.co.uk email addresses. I never received the confirmation emails. Several hours later, I updated the email address to a different mail provider. Instant confirmation email.

Details to reproduce: Sign up with a @yahoo.co.uk email address, observe that no email is received

This is something that needs to be taken up with Yahoo. If an SMTP transaction is accepted at the receiving end there is not much you can do to affect what happens after that, other than ensuring that you have at least DKIM and SPF (and, preferably, DMARC) configured correctly, which Monzo has.

I’ll leave it for the Monzo community team to pursuit further, should they so wish to ensure that Yahoo UK users can join.

The email come from discourse, not monzo.

Damn - serves me right for not reading OP’s post properly. I just assumed it was emails from Monzo related to opening an account.

I do worry about my aging brain, sometimes…

No harm, no foul :smile:. You’ll be glad to know that I got an absolute shedload of emails from Discourse between 8 and 9pm tonight (UK).

I’m not sure if DNS was doing DNS things or whether Discourse/Yahoo were trying their best to break things but this is no longer an issue for me.
