Issue: When signing up to the Community, I tried a couple of @yahoo.co.uk email addresses. I never received the confirmation emails. Several hours later, I updated the email address to a different mail provider. Instant confirmation email.

This is something that needs to be taken up with Yahoo. If an SMTP transaction is accepted at the receiving end there is not much you can do to affect what happens after that, other than ensuring that you have at least DKIM and SPF (and, preferably, DMARC) configured correctly, which Monzo has.
