Definitely! You’ve got to spoil the dog like everyone else - they’re part of the family I think my parents and my partners parents have bought the dog a gift too .
I’ll be taking a trip to the raw food shop in the coming days to get him a huge bone and he’s currently on turkey and apple mince food which should get him in the festive spirit.
I’d recommend a Bull’s penis! They’re huge, great to chew on, and safer than a bone!
Not too sure how I feel about raw! I know it’s great for the dogs, but I made the mistake of putting an order in for a furry cows ear, and it wasn’t until it arrived and it was an actual real cow ear with the fur in tact that it dawned on me. That was a thing too far so gave it to a neighbour and haven’t ordered anything since!
We have a local dog bakery where I am though, and I love that place! They make things like pet friendly cakes, ice creams, sweets, cakes, etc. it’s very much like a human sweet treats looking bakery, but it’s all for pets. I’ll be spending a fortune in there this month no doubt! Need to get a Christmas equivalent of this!
Where I go it’s a huge raw food warehouse and they have proper trained dieticians in there so I’m forever picking their brains for ideas and things to try. As you mentioned they have cakes and ice-cream too but he’s only a puppy so hasn’t had the pleasure of trying these yet.
The difference with raw feeding is unreal. Their coat, teeth and everything is improved loads and he is always receiving compliments on his condition.
As you said, some of the things they can have is a bit gross. He currently has chicken feet and necks for protein and something to chew one but it’s all natural and really good for them
I made my best advent decision ever and went for the ‘fancy’ Cadbury dairy milk one (pictured) as opposed to the basic one.
The chocolate is proper dairy milk (normal, caramel or nut) as opposed to the thin not quite there stuff and I feel like I’ve started a new chapter of my life
We have one of those nice wooden reusable advent calendars. Each number is a little drawer so you can put anything you want in them and have a nice mix of stuff.
In regards to advent calendar, I didn’t get one. Left it too late now to be fair an all. Would need a vegan one and you don’t usually just manage to find one of them just like that. Usually they’re sold out pretty quick on the shelves.
A bull’s penis doesn’t have fur nor look like it’s just been cut straight off the bull and shipped as is!
Just looks like your typical dog chew, but supersized.
It’s psychology, I think. A furry cows ear looks and feels too much like an actual cow. Without fur, and presumably cooked and dried, not so much. It’s easier to feel okay when the food looks less like the animal it came from, else more of us would be vegetation by now I reckon!
