Christmas is saved
As it should be. Ridiculous it was even brought up as an issue. It’s an advert ffs.
I’ve read through and watched that advert to try and find what the problem anti vaxers have with it and I really don’t get it at all. Maybe I was expecting too much logic from a group that thinks 5G antennas caused a pandemic
He needed a vaccination pass to get into the UK. Which is clearly just Tesco making a little joke about the current situation.
If you have issues with how we have handled the pandemic, this it is not.
Anyone getting paid early (proper paid early not monzo paid early) for Christmas?
We get our monthly salary next week, which means 6 weeks until the next one
I’m simply going to stick it in a pot and pay myself on the normal day to avoid any accidental over spending. Explaining this and pots to colleagues blows their minds
A good, sensible take. I’m doing the same.
Waiting for the threads to start. Expected a few by now
Yeah but it’s my 2nd job we usually get paid 26th so it’s the week before. Normal job is last working day of month as per usual.
So doesn’t really affect me as I’ve always got a wage coming from somewhere to top me up.
Thanks @BritishLibrary
I’m cynical if everyone will read it. Normally there’s about 6 threads started within an hour of each other
My payday is the 15th, and it’s December when I’m most grateful for it! No waiting 6 weeks for pay etc. etc.
We’re paid weekly, so during the Christmas/New year week we will get paid a day late
(Friday 31st instead of Thursday 30th)
It’s amazing how many of our lot are panicking because they’ll have no money
Yes, normally paid the last working day of the month, so it should be the 31st. Getting it on the 23rd instead - will be doing the same as you re moving it out of my main account until proper pay day.
We are paid on 20th (19th for me on paid early), but this year paying us on 17th (16th for me).
I explained paid early and Monzo to some guys at work and they were just like Monzo who?
Guess that’s what happens working for a legacy bank and the people have been there longer than I’ve been alive.
I’m not paid early so… 31st for me.
It’s starting
You may have jinxed it.
No I normally get paid 25th only getting on 24th as Xmas day is bank holiday.
Usually get paid last working day but at Christmas it’s always on the 24th, I usually end up spending into it while off work.
I am currently paid weekly, on Fridays, but taking salary on Thursdays as it goes to
Once I’ll get moved to monthly salary, will be paid on 15th too
School Christmas meals have changed since my time
Group members described the meal as “foreskin on a dry bap”
