Do you have to open a separate account for the Euro account?
Also, they send free nectarines now? Some would be more pleased than with the free sausage rolls on Monzo!

Sadly not via this route entirely as they have a UK BIN so get charged UK fees in EU ATMs. Ā£7 in the Czech Republic. For purchases, yes, for ATMs itās Bankera.
Yes, separate opening via the same long-winded online form, and the same 1/4ā of paperwork in the post. No extra credit searches, but I did get an abrupt email asking why I wanted it. I couldnāt find the IBAN details anywhere, but you can generate your own at the bottom of this page
Itās not a nectarine lol.
Youāre right, Iām an idiot. Meant to say clementine.
Cater Allen is certainly not the best option of travelling in Europe.
Iāve got 0% FX credit cards, and HSBC global money that I usually use - would Cater Allen be ok for buying the odd coffee etc if my other cards burst into flames?
Yes but imagine the thrill of being in a foreign country where you might not speak the language, being told the card didnāt work and you canāt check the app to see why
Surely all foreigners speak English

What Iāve been looking for is some fancy card machine that thinks āAha. Lithuanian card. I will respond in Lithuanianā
Does anyone know if I need to make a Chip & Pin transaction before I can use my card online? I need a Visa card for Airtime Rewards and CA is the only oneā¦
Not heard of that being a thing, only for contactless. Unless CA have any other strange requirements but I doubt it.
Thanks! I usually make a C&P transaction to be safe but not got a chance this time around. It said online to make a C&P transaction to activate card but I think I did that by callingā¦
Should be fine online if the card requires activation by calling. Quite likely get verified by visa anyway.
Itās a Tesco purchase so I presume Iāll do VbyV first on my basket value, and then the transaction should settle at the final amount like on a credit card? Never done an online shop on a debit cardā¦
Thatās what happens with Sainsburyās and various debit cards I use. Starling usually resolves by the day after the delivery.
Does CA not even show pending transactions? I just paid for my shop but my balance remains unchanged and thereās no pending transaction. Truly archaic, they are.
Still confused my Santander keeps them considering CA dont have an income requirement and Santander has their own private bank.
Probably why RBS keep Child and Co ā some important clients wouldnāt like to lose the āprestigeā.
