I am skeptical that a £350 handheld ‘runs the latest AAA PC games… really well’. I’d want some proof of that.

Yeah, there’s still a question mark for me there. Although, the GPU should perform at a similar level to a PS4, which combined with a 1280x800 display should be plenty of power.
Docked mode almost certainly won’t be what it’s cracked up to be if it tries to run at native resolution.
Yeah, I guess it’s a matter of definition but I’m not sure I’d call running at 720p running ‘really well’.
And honestly I am still doubtful that’s going to be enough to run at max settings on new AAAs without poor frame rates in practice. Games have gotten very demanding, PC games were never built to run on low power handhelds, and a small system like this is likely to have heat issues.

I saw the guardians of the galaxy game will be streamed to the switch when it comes out. Interesting decision as clearly it is not powerful enough on its own!
Looked long and hard for a game similar to HL2 ( one of my all time favourites ) and found " Metro Exodus "
It’s £35 on Steam for the gold edition, got it off CDKEYS for £10… bargain.
Hopefully it’s a decent game as it looks like on YouTube.
If you enjoy CS:GO and other FPS games, you might want to try Rainbow Six Siege for tactical gameplay or Escape from Tarkov for a more intense experience. For something different but still competitive, Valorant is also a great choice. On the mobile side, I’ve been playing Nulls Brawl lately—it’s a private server version of Brawl Stars with lots of unlocked content and faster progression, making it really fun to experiment with different brawlers and game modes while still keeping that competitive edge.

Just throwing it out there.
If anyone here is a fan of Horror Games, I can reccomend the Outlast Franchise.
It’s very scary and freaky but dont play it at 1am with headphones!

I’d try a tactical shooter with slower, tense rounds or something story-heavy with strong gunplay. A fast arena-style FPS could also scratch the same itch if you want pure action.
