Issue: Monzo insurance page (searchable under Actions) shows as a completely blank page apart from the back button and does not load a UI. I have tried restarting the app and retrying several times but the issue persists.
Details to reproduce: Open the Monzo app, select at the top right, type “insurance” and tap “search”, then select “Monzo insurance” under the Actions header in the search results. OS: iOS 18.7 Device: iPhone 13 Pro Max MLL63B/A App Version: 7.23.0 #7230052
This works as expected on my Pixel 8 Pro Android beta 17 with v7.24.0 beta app.
Following the above instructions, tapping on the ‘Monzo Insurance’ Action shows:
Thanks for the confirmation. So the question is, is it?:
An iOS bug in general, affecting all users
An iOS bug which only affects iOS users with no active Monzo insurance plan(s)
An overall bug which affects iOS & Android users with no active Monzo insurance plan(s)
Any iOS users out there who have Monzo insurance that can try this (“Open the Monzo app, select at the top right, type “insurance” and tap “search”, then select “Monzo insurance” under the Actions header in the search results.”)?
That’s what I’d expect for a user that doesn’t have a paid-tier, so no Travel/Phone/Breakdown insurance - with Monzo still doing the upsell to the non-paid-tier of Buildings/Contents Home insurance.
So assuming you (@jo ) DON’T have a paid tier, it looks like an iOS bug.
That’s my theoretical diagnosis out of the window then. It seems like a device/account specific issue with @chriskane only.
@chriskane - have you tried uninstalling the app, RESTARTING YOUR DEVICE (important) and then reinstallaing the app? If not, give that a go and then retry the Monzo insurance search in-app.
You’re right. It probably won’t. The Insurance plans (excluding Home Building/Contents insurance) are available on Max only. But your test result was good - as it showed a non-Max plan reporting back no insurance plans and an upsell oppo. Rather than a blank screen.
So mine (Max) and yours (Perks) seem to respond as expected. And becuase @descendent is on iOS (no paid tier) and seeing the same as @jo, then it can’t be a general Android/iOS bug or an iOS-only bug - it must be a device/account specific issue with @chriskane
Thanks all. As @davidwalton suggested, I deleted the app, restarted my device, and reinstalled the app but unfortunately the issue persists, although I did see a spinner for around a second - that’s new. The page is still completely blank. I’m also a Perks customer.
