Blue Plus card shows as coral in Apple wallet

Activated my new card today, added it to Apple wallet and removed my old one. But the new one shows as orange, even though the physical card is blue – previously, the blue card was blue in Apple wallet. This is extremely irritating as it’s the best way to distinguish between the personal and joint account cards, considering that the visual card difference is about 80% of the reason I pay for plus in the first place!

I searched for threads about this and they all say “re add the card” or “when you activate your new card it’ll be right” or “the picture matches your physical card” but none of these match with what I’ve actually seen. The card is blue. The picture is not. The card is activated and I’ve re-added it 4 times. I’ve tried adding it manually and adding it by scanning the card.

If you’ve tried all the things suggested here then you need to talk to Monzo.

The old plus/premium Apple Pay artworks are gone.

Unless it was added before they were removed, these now show up as a standard coral card in Apple Pay.

It sucks. I just hope they never force an update.

If you need an easy way to differentiate them, the joint account card is now white. If yours isn’t due to expire soon, just make sure you take good care of it and don’t accidentally lose it…
