Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2022

I bought a new keyboard for $wife, decent deal… 3 days later Amazon drop the price another 25%… sigh…

They’ll give you the difference back apparently.

I’m a particular fan of Tado. Have slowly built up over 4 years and now all radiators as well as hot water supply on smart independent schedules- multiroom bespoke heating retro fitted on a decent but dated gas heater central heating supply. I ‘think’ consumption has reduced but definitely can say heat only happens in rooms we want it to happen in, when we want it and only while we’re home. Plus there’s the data obsession that can be satisfied with it.

Only for items with a ‘black friday deal’ badge, which seems to be quite limited.

Have you tried to complain?

The threat to return it, waste time/money, hurt the environment etc etc. Or just refund the difference.

I could return it but it’s already wrapped and under the tree and would be a bit of an odd thing to do.

In my experience, if you ask for a refund of the difference, they’ll say no.

So you go back to them and say that you could get a full refund and reorder at the new lower price, which would be a senseless waste.

At which point, they usually crack and concede.

If they don’t, there’s the really mad option; you request a return+refund on the original and order a new one at the lower price. When the new one arrives, open the parcel, put the returns paperwork in and label on, and send that back. :exploding_head:

Pretty much that. Not even any paperwork in the package to deal with. I guess it depends how expensive the keyboard is and which returns options they provide when you initiate the return (drop off vs they come to collect).

You know it is only November?!

Yeah but where’s the fun in that!

Haven’t yet bit the bullet but really tempted to treat myself to one of these.

Seems like a good deal at £233 (after an additional 10% off).

£340 seems very low!

It will depend on stated condition and their assessment when it arrives with them. Very fast, painless service as you would expect from Apple. R-

Assuming it is in good condition even Music Magpie will give you £400. Apple trade in is generally very poor value.

I’ve definitely had Amazon do it, but it was quite a while ago, maybe they are stricter now.

Costco have a great deal on a well specced M2 Air.

Big saving over Apple prices.

I was looking on there the other day. I was interested in the weekend away bags and the drying coats.

Anything else you’d recommend?

Woah thanks for all that, it was really helpful. I’ll go take a look at everything you mentioned :paw_prints:

Not sure if anyone on here vapes but this company have 20% off everything:

The offer stacks on multibuy so I’ve just stocked up on a load of Elf Bars. Makes them £3.20 each which is the cheapest I’ve seen.
