Attempting to reverse direct debit

My mobile phone provider took a direct debit on my account despite the bill having been paid via card.

I have spoken with them and the fastest way to sort it, is to contact the bank and reclaim it as its still pending.

Ive attempted to go through the process however i get told its not covered under the direct debit policy. So despite having been told by the provider it was an error i cant get refunded by monzo.

Ask the phone company to refund you as it sounds it would be easier.

Monzo would’ve asked the merchant about the payment; merchant would have sent a bill back saying this is due. The end of monzo’s process is here.

I would go back to the mobile provider, it’s their responsibility to resolve this for you.
