Arc Browser

Just wondered if there were many Arc browser users here.

It is the first browser that has stole me away from a combo of Firefox and safari.

The app on iOS is excellent and the Mac browser is cracking too.

Finding myself using the AI browse for me search more than I thought I would.

I’ve been using Brave for almost a decade tbh and happy seeing no adverts.

Don’t know if you watch Theo, but followed his story arc in using arc and he’s already pissed at them moving onto Arc 2.0

I use it almost exclusively atm.

Browser for me is handy if I just want to see a quick answer, and it has been reliable for me so far.

Of I want to see a specific page I just tap on the search term.

It has also recently reduced the number of cookie consent notices I see which helps.

I have been using Arc since they was a private invite only. Love it and would never look back. The spaces is just :ok_hand:

I recently moved to Orion (made by Kagi) and really like it.

The killer feature is the tab management. There’s a hierarchical tree structure which keeps things organised and makes it really easy to understand where tabs have been opened from.

Isn’t this the guy that got stick on Twitter from Josh because he was complaining a lot about an “Arc bug” but it turned out to be a really specific bug that only he had, but it was giving Arc bad press because of who he is?

But I have used Arc since July 2022, according to my Arc Settings and love it. This new Dia they’re pivoting to seems cool, but I don’t understand why they couldn’t include these AI features inside Arc!

I’ve been using Arc on my laptop since March this year, and I’ve loved it. The sidebar is a really underrated feature, and when you set it to hide, you get the biggest browsing window out of any web browser.

I tried the Android app in beta, but I wasn’t totally impressed, so I’ve gone back to Chrome on there

Yeah from memory it was that he kept everything in his downloads folder. So when he opened that there was a significant performance issue.

Being a dev at heart WebKit deserves no love but I will try that out.
