Apple Watch Ultra

I need to get back at running too. Maybe Watch will inspire me!!!

Yes as you can go walking/running and stream music direct from the watch.

You can just download playlists/albums etc to the watch tho so there isn’t really an added benefit other than being able to take calls on it - but who even does that, looking like a BTEC MI6 agent speaking into their watch hahahhaha

I’ve done it a few times. You don’t speak into the watch - you can even have your arm by your side.

Nobody batted an eyelid.

My partner uses his Apple Watch pretty exclusively.

For making and taking calls, he just pops in his Airpods. Even at home he’ll generally use his watch to answer calls, because it’s always on his wrist, rather than running around looking for where he left his phone. Obviously, at home, the cellular connection isn’t needed - but he does tend to now just leave his phone at home and only use his watch more (it also helps control constant doom-scrolling on your phone when you’re out and about).

The only issue he’s found is pretty much trying to text - Siri isn’t quite good enough to dictate reliably 100% for that.

I do also have Cellular on my Apple Watch - but I’m also definitely attached to my phone so very very rarely do I ever go out without it.

Loving it so far, very light to wear which surprised me. Really like the strap too, but then I do like a nato strap on my mechanical watch.

Also got the cellular plan from o2 for Ā£5 a month, but can’t understand its an unlimited plan, yet I’m paying Ā£7 a month for 4gb on phone plan.

It’s pretty difficult to use a lot of data on the watch so it’s probably not as generous as it seems!

Yes I agree, I certainly won’t be using a lot of data on watch, it’s there for an emergency.

Loving mine, have it a few months now. Battery is two full days easy and its light, that was my biggest worry before getting it.

I’m same boat as you except definite if they upgrade the cup. If not I’ll probably do a battery replacement and wait!

For the safety of my finances I am banning any more talk about the Apple Watch Ultra :sob::pray:

Wouldn’t be without mine now. It did take a little while getting used to the larger size of it on my wrist, but once you get over that, its marvellous. The fact it is WiFi and Cellular as standard is great too. Love not having to take my phone with me when I go out for a run.

The chavs have taken it, it belongs to them now

I refuse to let such a brand die, I still wear it and will continue to.

Back to the Apple Watch for a second, when this came out I was ā€œtake my moneyā€ but now not so much, I’ve started to wear my old school seiko more and more recently, leaving my S4 watch lying at home.

Things I didn’t expect to ever do, volume 1

Love my Ultra. I couldn’t go back to the standard Apple Watch now unless it had the Wayfinder watch face included and better battery life.

In lieu of a watch thread, here’s the one I’ve got, compared to my S4.

They look comparable on this for some reason but IRL the seiko is defo the bigger one. Apparently, according to my wife, I don’t have the wrist size to pull it off :joy:

That Tudor looks very classy, timeless, if serviced properly will last a lifetime.

I have always wanted a black dial bb58 but i don’t think it will age as well as the blue dial which is a timeless look to me. I have a Christopher Ward trident pro, it’s a black dial which I love but find myself just wearing Apple Watch most of time now.
