Trying to be clever I bought my wife a bag earlier today using Apple Pay that she said she’d liked. On presenting her with the gift it appeared I’d got the wrong one! Or maybe she’d just changed her mind? 
I returned the bag and got a refund on Apple Pay and then bought the new one.
What sort of timescale is it for an Apple Pay refund with the added complication of it being abroad?
I get instant notifications for purchases but wondering how long I should leave it before I chase up the refunds.
It would depend on the retailer,
It could be instant, although it sounds like it’s not in this case, so anywhere from half a day to a week is standard, although it could potentially be 30 days.
Ultimately it’s a guessing game without having prior experience with that seller.

Refunds generally between 3-5 days, typically the same as a normal card payment.
I got an ApplePay refund in TK Maxx yesterday and that appeared today.
