I seem to be getting a lot of these messages since the new look âŚâŚ
Iâve just recently been forced onto the new look. This isnât an âi donât like itâ comment although I really donât like it, howeverâŚ
My activity feed is missing transactions that I made today, namely a pot to pot transfer from a Personal pot to a Joint pot.
Both pots are Instant Access Savings pots if thatâs relevant.
Iâve tried to add screenshots of both accounts and the activity feed.
Anyway, shouldnât the activity feed include ALL activity?
They definitely have not solely relied on this forum before decided to roll this new interface out to everyone. In fact, I suspect any input from the forum represents a relatively small proportion of the data they use for decision making.
I know at least one person who received the new interface prior to the full roll out without seeking it out themselves. So they have been experimenting with transitioning ânormal usersâ to it before deciding to roll out to everyone. I donât know if some/all of those individuals were prompted to offer feedback, but Iâd be a bit surprised if that didnât happen. Presumably Monzo would have also been monitoring impact on various proxies for user experience (e.g. app store reviews, customer support requests).
Doesnât pot to pot actually have more steps than that where it actually gets moved into the main account first, as shown by my personal AND joint feeds?
So itâs normal for the activity feed to not show this? Seems daft.
PS: wait a minute. These are daily transactions and they show in the Activity Feed for previous days, just not today. Surely thatâs not right.
Edit: Iâm wrong. I only started doing them pot to pot, rather than main account to pot this morning. Sorry.

Weâll, technically yes, although you can move pot to pot without manually moving to account. But it seems Activity Feed doesnât know this and is quite happy to ignore âpot to potâ which is stupid. Because itâs still activity on my account
Sorry what I meant is that pot to pot isnât actually how the money moves, it goes to your account and then to the pot. Youâve got the move money option that looks like youâre moving pot to pot, bit thatâs not actually how it moves
This is true, but even so in this case Iâm moving from my Personal Account to my Joint, and this is definitely activity Iâd want to appear in the Activity Feed, even if it is moving into pots.

Indeed, thatâs the deduplication work theyâve been sorting out. Itâs sorted (mostly) for Bill payments from pots now - just standing orders that still show the second line. So they get to all this soon. I want a nice clean activity feed of everything
But then if youâre moving money into a Savings Pot, there would arguably be value in having that in the Activity Feed too.

My opinion on Pot to Pot transfers in the activity feed:
For same account transfers:
If you look at the old view, you can see that the transfer does go via the main account and then into the 2nd pot. In the new view, it still technically does this, but the transaction is not shown. Instead, it shows the transaction only in the related pots.
While pots transactions donât show in the combined activity list yet, I would prefer it not to show in the combined feed. But once pot transactions join the fun in the combined feed, having 1 transaction listed would be better.
When it comes to Personal pot to Joint pot, you are moving money between physical bank accounts, so it should show in the feed in all instances.
Payments tab > Move Money > no Pot to Pot
Open Pot > Add Money > can choose Pot to Pot.
Took me a while to figure it, why isnât it in the Move Money section of payments tab? Only allows me to select personal account at the top
Are you saying you canât do pot to pot from the payment tab, because I can?
Thereâs no link on Payments tab on android to achieve that.

I donât have a âMove Moneyâ option in the payments tab.
The only way I can move money to/from a pot is by clicking on the pot and then I have "âWithdrawâ and âAdd moneyâ. Both of which give me the exact same screen, but defaults to either personal to pot (for add money) or pot to personal (for withdraw). I can pick and choose which account/pot I want for both âToâ and âFromâ once in this screen though.

Just checked again. I can definitely do pot to pot from the payments screen, move money option.
Donât have a Move Money option on my Payments screen
