I woke up this morning with over £100 charges to my Monzo card from restaurants somewhere in California, and I live in the UK.
I’ve reported the fraud in that automatic way, but is there a way I can actually talk to someone about it? Can I get that money back? Is there anything else I should do?
If you’ve reported it via chat, that’s the best option.
I would also freeze the card for now. You can call but that option is far worse/slower than what you’ve done so far.
As above, let the process run its course. Nothing is going to happen faster by calling them. They will be able to see that you were in the UK, and the charges took place abroad. You will almost certainly get your money back unless they suspect you are trying to defraud them.
