Android app not logging out after existing

I have hide from current apps set, I have biometric set
But when I exit app I can still reopen it from application list without having to renter any biometric information and I don’t feel comfortable with that.
My other bank account apps log me out immediately when I tab out to different app, and fact monzo isn’t is distressing.
I am nearly positive it used to log me out when I exited but not it’s now.
Anything I can do to force it ask for authentication again after closing app each time?

Don’t “tab out” and do the android equivalent of force close.

It makes zero difference to any security. Nobody can do anything.

It’s possible you might need to turn it on again:

I don’t need to force close on Android. If I switch away from Monzo app for more than about 5 seconds and then switch back I’m prompted to unlock with biometrics.

Don’t know if the 5 second thing is configurable.

In the :monzo: app, from home, tap on your icon (top-left) → ‘Settings’ → ‘Privacy and security’ → ensure BOTH ‘Authenticate with biometrics’ and ’ App lock’ are enabled.

Please note that if you exit the app (without logging out), you can still get back into it without needing authentication for several seconds (about 8 seconds in my case - this may vary depending on phone model/OS/app version). Longer than that and you need to authenticate to get back in.

Also note that the ‘App lock’ setting has a habit of deselecting itself after app updates, if you log out or are logged out such as when you log in on a different :android: device.

So i just switched all security options off then back on amd made sure everything selected (was all selected before but idk why was not working) and now it seems to be doing better
I timed it on my phone and about 9 seconds on my Huawei p30 before it asks me for authentication, still wish was less than that but still better than was before
Before I was able to fully swap apps and then back without being asked for biometrics
