Suddenly “Feature Parity” means “Feature Parity in terms of Current Account-specific features” (which means we’re not getting things like Targets, Travel Reports etc. anytime soon). Perhaps not deliberate misinformation, but it feels like a bait/switch.

This is very misleading of them - very dishonest, not something you want a bank to be. Excuse after excuse.

Hi Bea,
There’ some confusing talk here about payments using AndroidPay. Can you confirm whether it is your intention to use it as a payments engine please? Personally, I don’t want to use AndroidPay, I have no desire to give Google every piece of data about anything I buy, anywhere.

The use of AndroidPay will be completely optional. You would have to specifically enable the Monzo Current Account card in the Android Pay app when the feature is available. After that is done you can then use your phone for payments and not need your plastic card (where contactless/android pay is accepted).
