I can get that its frustrating and embarrassing when a card is declined and doesn’t work, however it is made clear that this is a beta version and that there may now and then be issues and that you should always carry an additional card.
Also, even the big banks have system issues from time to time, you only have to look at RBS/Natwest to see that
