Algbra discussion

Roundups aren’t there yet. It says available soon like a lot of the cubes features on that page.

If they can actually deliver on all of that stuff, the USP because a little less of an issue, because they’ll surpass the feature that’s often touted as the reason for Monzo’s success and become a much better implementation.

No info on the new offer

It’s still showing in the app as being active. I suspect it just needs a terms and conditions update, which I would imagine will drop today since the old one ended 12 minutes ago.

This is what I received in a message earlier this week:

Whilst we’re still finalising the details, we have decided to extend the Super Cashback offer there is no plan to have any delay and you’ll continue earning cashback up to and beyond the 15th  Be sure to please keep your eyes peeled on the end date communication via email.

They’ve just posted on Instagram to ‘Keep your notifications on - soon, you might hear more about the benefits you love’.

It’s official.

Although terms still haven’t been updated.

Have they set another end date? Regretting closing my account in December :upside_down_face:

There’s no end date to it that they’ve announced.

Perhaps here to stay indefinitely like the upcoming Chas offer.

Had an email come through this morning, 1.5% cashback has been extended until 30th June 2024.

No email for me yet. Thanks for the info.

Also in the email they mention 2 new ‘coming soon’ features for cashback - more visibility so that you can easily track where it’s come from, and having a designated ‘Reward Cube’ so that you can collect your cash back separately from your main account.

Both of those features would fix what I think has been some of the biggest complaints of their cash back implementation (along with the other major one of cash back taking quite a few days to appear in the first place).

I wouldn’t have thought though they would’ve bothered with any major developments to make cash back better if it was just going to be for 4 more months so they must have some longer term plan for it as well.

Currently in tgi Fridays , £22 for two cocktails and 6.20 for a bottle of Corona. Was gonna use cash but I think it’s time to get at least 1.5% back.

‘Cash’ I’ve heard of that. Wasn’t that something people used in the last century?

1.5% cashback still makes that daylight robbery, and such extraordinary prices for an ordinary place.

100% agree. Didn’t use to cost this much in the place. Was quite surprised and got to admit we didn’t stay for long.

Might close Algbra as part of a tidy up I’m doing.

Too focused on using my RBS to pay for things now with the double round ups switched on to go into the digital reg saver.

Maybe it’s just worth having about. Algbra is handy, I used it recently abroad with no fees and the 1.5% cashback, with no minimum to be put in each month unlike Chase.
