Accounts in context

Not sure if it’s been raised before, but it’s really annoying that the account I’ve been viewing is not in context when I try to make a payment.

If I make a payment straight from the home page, I understand that I have to select the account I want to pay from.

But when I’ve been viewing an account and select to make a payment, I don’t expect to have to select the account I want to pay from.

Payments tab should automatically select active account

I’m using the iOS app. I have a personal and a shared account. Switching to the Payments tab always sets the “from” account to my personal account, even if I’m “zoomed in” to the joint account. Have you considered automatically setting the “from” account based on which account is selected? Reproduce: Have at least two Monzo accounts in the app. From the Home Screen, select payments. Note which account is selected as “from” for the payment in the dropdown at the top of the screen. Let’s call…

100%. Just came on to see if anyone had posted about this. Super annoying as you mentally are in the space for that account and so it’s easy to hit “Payments” then accidentally pay from the wrong account.
